Career Bridge – Foreningen Lige Adgang’s Business Mentorship Program

Career Bridge aims to promote lasting connections to education and employment for people who have fled or migrated to Denmark. We do this through sector-specific business mentorship programs, where mentees are matched with mentors based on shared professional backgrounds, interests, and/or personal preferences. The focus is on providing guidance within specific fields or industries — offering opportunities for language training, building professional networks, gaining insight into relevant workplaces, and understanding Danish workplace culture.

The mentorship programs typically last six months, with around two meetings per month where the mentee, with the support of their mentor, works toward achieving their employment goals. Before the program begins, we ensure that all mentors are well-prepared for their role by offering mentor training, professional webinars, ongoing guidance, and the opportunity to join a network of experienced mentors. The business mentorship program is available nationwide.

Projektet er støttet af Sportgoodsfonden og har tidligere modtaget støtte fra Styrelsen for International Rekruttering og Integration (SIRI) samt Fonden Københavns Sprogcenter.

Opportunities for Participation and Collaboration

  • Mentees can contact us if you’d like support and guidance in applying for a job, education, or internship. We’ll be happy to tell you more about the available opportunities.
  • Volunteers can sign up for the program if you’re willing to dedicate at least 4 hours a month for up to 6 months to support and guide another person in finding a job, internship, or education opportunity.
  • Workplaces can collaborate with us on the initiative by implementing the business mentorship program as part of your ESG strategy. Selected employees can volunteer during working hours, contributing to stronger cohesion, improved employee well-being, and the development of a more diverse talent pipeline. We’ll be happy to tell you more about the possibilities.
  • Municipalities can take part in the initiative by referring citizens who have fled or been reunified with a family member who has fled to the program. You can contact us at Foreningen Lige Adgang to learn more about the target group and/or the mentorship scheme.
