We aim to create equal access to jobs, education, and communities for people who face barriers to these opportunities. Our goal is to ensure systemic change that lays the foundation for an inclusive and diverse society. With more than 27 years of experience as bridge builders, Foreningen Lige Adgang works to create equal access to jobs, education, and communities. Through projects, consultancy, knowledge sharing, and volunteer engagement, we turn diversity into a resource and a driving force for an inclusive labor market, education system, and society.

Our Story

Foreningen Lige Adgang is a nonprofit organization working to ensure access to education, employment, and community life for everyone. For more than 25 years, we have collaborated closely with companies, foundations, public institutions, and civil society. We view diversity as a resource that creates value for individuals, for the Danish labor market, and for society as a whole.

Our story began in 1998 under the name Foreningen Nydansker. Back then, our primary focus was on building bridges between ethnic minorities and the Danish labor market. Today, our mission has expanded — we work not only to create a more inclusive and diverse labor market but also to strengthen the education system and democratic communities.

Building on our many years of experience, we develop foundation-funded projects that address current social challenges, and we offer consultancy services within Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, og vi producerer viden, der kan inspirere og skabe forandring.

We believe that diversity creates room for new thinking, and that people, at their core, want to help one another. That’s why many of our initiatives are built on volunteerism and strong networks that make a positive difference every day. With social responsibility as our driving force, we work toward an open labor market and a more inclusive society.

How We Work

We work based on:

An intersectional approach, meaning that we view social issues as overlapping and interconnected. We therefore meet each individual based on their unique experiences and challenges.
An understanding of the conditions and interests of the business sector, where Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging are key factors in fostering innovation and productivity while ensuring well-being and a safe work environment.
The belief in voluntary engagement, as the volunteer relationship holds a special value for the individual.
The belief that to treat everyone equally, we must treat people differently.
