Succesful Labor Market Integration of Highly Skilled Migrants in Denmark (SLIM)
The project aims to identify barriers to the Danish labor market for highly educated migrants who live in Denmark but struggle to find employment that matches their qualifications. We map these barriers through individual interviews and workshops. In addition, a workshop with company representatives is held to identify the challenges businesses face in recruiting and retaining highly skilled migrants.
The knowledge generated through the project is shared with a range of companies to raise awareness of the challenges and to develop tools that help businesses recruit and retain the project’s target group. We are also developing “How-To” guides for highly educated migrants. The new insights created through the project aim to build a bridge between highly skilled migrants and the Danish labor market.
Opportunities for Participation and Collaboration
- Workplaces can participate in a mapping workshop focused on identifying barriers to recruiting and retaining the target group on November 20. The workshop is aimed at managers and HR professionals.
